The Estate

The Domaine des Echardières is located on the left bank of the river Cher, not far from Château de Chenonceau. It stretches out across 16ha, all within the zone of the Touraine appellation. Gamay, cabernet franc, côt... red grape varieties make up 2/3 of the planted area. 6ha are planted with whites (sauvignon and chardonnay). The orientation of the slopes, and the diverse combination of soils and sub-soils, predominantly chalky clay, giving our products a delicate aromatic nature common with the wines of Chenonceau.

Since 2011, the Domaine des Echardières products, from its best lands, the new appellation Touraine Chenonceaux red.

Conscious of environmental protection, the enterprise subscribes to the voluntary new Terra Vitis code of practice, taking a carefully reasoned approach to wine production. Member of caves particulières, our wines are grown and vinified exclusively on the property, with respect for tradition. We marry traditional vinification methods with modern technology (thermo-regulation, stainless steel vats) to bring out the best of our terrain.
